AV for ‘iceberg’ conversion in exclusive Ladbroke Road
Veritais Ltd, a leading consultancy and supplier of audio-visual systems for luxury yachts and houses, has just completed an extremely high value project in one of London’s most sought after residential locations in Ladbroke Road. The regency property has undergone a basement conversation and the new owners have installed a property-wide lighting control system and audio visual system with no expense spared, using only the best components on the market.
The whole system is brought together by Control4 and controlled by simple touch button technology on a 7” screen. All lighting, sound and visual functions can be controlled from each of the main rooms. There are a total of 32 lighting circuits controlled from the main system.
The main audio distribution is controlled by a Sonos system which has access to online content including internet Radio as well as all of the music stored on a computer, hard drive or iTunes library. Any tablet or smartphone can operate the system using a free app. Music can also be sent straight from anyone’s device to the system without having to load it onto the media library.
All ‘zones’ ie. separate rooms, can be grouped together in “Party Mode” or can be controlled individually.
In each of the main living room, kitchen, master bedroom, a Sonos Zoneplayer is connected to 2 high performance in-ceiling speakers to provide great quality music playback from the Sonos system with a discreet look. Music playing in the master bedroom will also play in the ensuite which has the same equipment.
The basement living room features a very large screen Samsung frameless 55” Ultra-HD, 4K 3D TV with built-in Freeview HD, installed on a wall-mounted pull-out bracket from a recess.
A Yamaha Aventage 5.1 AV Receiver connects to 5 in-ceiling speakers providing surround sound with bass-enhancement from a subwoofer. A 3D Blu-Ray player allows for playback of 3D Blu-rays, DVDs and CDs.
An all-in-one remote control provides one-button activation of activities such as ‘Watch TV’ or ‘Watch DVD’ and even remotely closes the cabinet doors. A Samsung 32” Smart TV with Freeview HD is also wall mounted in the basement spare bedroom which also has the Sonos Zoneplayer connected to 2 high performance in-ceiling speakers.
In ceiling lighting, stair lights and floor lights have been installed, and there is a rather unusual colour changing wall light which softly illuminates in any colour that is chosen from the system, or change automatically.
A door entry panel is installed adjacent to the front door which features an in-built camera, speaker and microphone for 2-way communication, wire to two monitors indoors. Further security reassurance is given via 4 IP cameras with digital CCTV recording facility (DVR) system, two at the front of the property and two at the rear allowing the owners to view the property via internet from anywhere in the world.
