Second superyacht AV installation award for Veritais
March 20th, 2015
Veritais has been awarded the Control4 Marine Install Award for the upgrade performed on 36 metre displacement motor yacht Metsuyan IV.
This is the second year running that UK based Veritais has won the Yacht Install Award, one of Control4’s prestigious award scheme categories.
At the centre of the upgrade is the Control4 HC-800 controller, selected by Veritais as the best solution and earning the company the coveted award. The HC-800 manages the ship-wide control system, and a zoneripper media server. The latter stores the music and movie library that is accessible from all the zones on board, and also comes with an automatic, one-touch ripping function that makes the addition of new content simple and efficient. Users can also wirelessly access content held on their own Apple devices and use the yacht’s screens and speakers to view and listen to the programming.
Control4 held their awards at ISE in Amsterdam in February to honour their European dealer network. “Receiving this award for the second year in a row is a great achievement for us,” comments David Milner of Veritais. “Control4 is recognised as one of the world’s great providers of personalized automation and control solutions, and their products are ideal for our Superyacht customers.”
The upgrade of the onboard audio system required that Veritais modernise the core storage, transmission and control systems. Original screens, amplifiers and DVD players were re-used with the Veritais team resolving all compatibility issues and the entire installation was completed in three weeks.
Designed by Ginto Naval Architects and launched in 2006 by CBI Navi, Metsuyan IV is built in steel and aluminium. The accommodation is spread over three decks and has room for ten guests and seven crew.
