Control from every room in luxury West Midlands home

Veritais Ltd is best known for its cutting edge audio solutions for Superyachts– controls in every stateroom and cabin for everything from temperature to security to, of course, audio and visual entertainment selection and storage.
However, the company has already completed a number of audio projects in extremely luxury residential properties. The latest is a seven bedroom house in the West Midlands. The house was first built in the early 1960s but has been gutted to make way for a state of the art living space to the very highest specification.
Veritais has installed a Control4 system for ‘whole home control’ throughout the property. A central controller, which sits in a discreet stacking rack, is the ‘brain’ of the system which manages the home automation system, allowing the electronic devices in the home to work together— in this particular case, heating, lighting, sauna, pool control, blind control and audio control including Sky TV, Blue-ray and radio. Control4 touch screens (much like an ipad) with their own simple-to-follow operating system are mounted on the walls in every single room in the house so that they can be easily remotely accessed for screen touch choices.
The property will also have a Veritais supplied cinema room complete with 4D motion effect seating from D-Box Seating. The concept of seats that move with motion in the screen, such as a boat in a storm, or a fast car chase, was used for the first time only this year in commercial cinemas. The 4D seats are only just now available for installation in advanced private cinema rooms.
Veritais Ltd is a leading consultancy and supplier of audio systems for luxury homes and yachts, and is based in the UK. The contract is valued at a significant six figure sum. Managing Director, David Milner, explains “The client approached us wanting a fully automated residence. The technology available enables a great number of different features around the property to be added to the network, and controlled very conveniently.”
